Pushkar Lake:
Most sacred Pushkar Lake, created due to lotus falling of from the hand of Lord Brahma is visited by thousands of devotees for one dip on Kartika Poornima supposed to be equivalent to performing numerous yagnas.

Surrounded by hills on three sides and desert on one side Pushkar is the place where legendary poet Kalidasa`s, Sanskrit drama Shakuntalam was created. Saint Agasthya`s Cave was located on the snake mountain.

Gau Ghat, Brahma Ghat (where Brahma worshipped) and Varah Ghat, Gau Ghat (from where ashes of Mahatma Gandhi were submerged in the lake),The Varah Ghat (where Lord Vishnu, appeared in the form of Varaha (a boar), third of nine incarnations) are the famous Ghats on the lake.

Brahma Temple:There is the only temple in India where Lord Brahma is worshipped.

Lord Brahma`s lotus flower fell at three places within a radius of ten kilometers. Senior Pushkar, where the lotus is supposed to be fell first is considered the most holy and most of the hotels are located here. Middle Pushkar 3km from here has a Hanuman temple and a 200-year-old banyan tree. There is a Krishna temple at New (Junior) Pushkar, 3km to north.

On the top of the Ratnagiri Hill, is the temple dedicated to Savitri, the wife of Lord Brahma.
