The twelve Jyotirlingas (Self immerged idols of Shiva) are the most important places for Hindu pilgrimages. Amongst five Jyotirlingas present in Maharashtra, Anudha Nagnath in the Hingoli District is the eighth Jyotirlimga is of great significance.

Dharma (Pandava) constructed this beautiful temple during their 14 years in exile (Vanvas). The Hemadpanthi temple of Nagnath has intricate carvings. Devotees visit this sacred place on Shivratri and Vijayadashmi.
