Ajmer Back
Surrouded by mountains on all sides, Ajmer was fromaerly known as "Ajaimeru".Established by Ajaypal Chauhan in 7th Century it is also known as "Jibralter" of the East due to number of attacks it had surviced.
Ajmer is a pilgrim center attracting both Hindu and Sufi devotees.Places of interest include
Dargah Sharif,Adhai-din-ka-Jhonpra,Durga Bag,Ana Sagar,Foy Sagar,Mayo College Museum,Abdullah Khan`s Tomb, Anted-ki-Mata Temple,Ajaipal,Nasiyan Jain Temple, Ropangarh Fort, Kishangarh.
